What the store actually names
The English store sells four classes as sorcerer, holy warrior, archer, and necromancer. Official YouTube class videos are titled Mage, Paladin, Ranger, and Necromancer. Only necromancer matches byte-for-byte. Each class is grouped with three talent trees on Steam screenshots 15, 17, 19, and 21; those twelve English titles are not listed in store prose. Mage panel ss-15 is Hell Messenger, Storm Lord, Arcanist, captioned 1000+ Build Variations. Paladin ss-17 is Blade Master, Holy Light, Apocalypse. Archer ss-19 is Windwalker, Doomsday Disciple, High Elf, captioned Weapon-Skill Synergy. Necromancer ss-21 is Undead Emissary, Void Sorcerer, Corrupt Priest. Unlimited skill points sit in the complete content list, which is why late hybrids across those trees are a first-party claim rather than a fan theory.
Environments in about-the-game copy are six phrases, not a named atlas: eerie and terrifying dungeons; solemn ancient temples; scorching deserts; haunted ruins filled with restless spirits; distant realms beyond reality; the depths of hell itself. The campaign is 7 chapters with over 160 unique maps and stages, about 30–50 story hours, over 60 unique bosses, more than 200 distinct monsters, and 17 Blessing Shrines. After the story, Greater Rifts open on Normal, Master, Nightmare, and Inferno. Treasure Sprites pick up and salvage gear, including items stuck outside walls. 370 talent skill runes sit in that rift layer, alongside 6,800 equipment skill runes and 60 attribute runes from the 26 August 2026 launch note.
Loot, soundtrack, and what is not shipped
Loot copy: over 100,000,000 items from 3,200 base templates; 15 unique armor sets for every class; more than half of equipment includes additional skills; legendary and mythic pieces are grouped as carefully crafted loot. The launch note adds over 1,000 new weapon affixes in Basic, Special, Negative Effects, Skills, and Summoning Skills, plus 2,400 new weapon-granted skills. Screenshot 6 prints Mage Items Realm Ender and Stellar Nebula Cataclysm at level 59 with Thunderous Fury, Hellfire, and Flamestrike. Official copy states there are no microtransactions, no seasonal resets, and all loot is earned through combat. Inventory pages unlock through quests; the warehouse has unlimited pages. Reforging, Enchanting & Enhancement is named without formulas.
Store about text describes a gothic, late-1990s RPG soundtrack with layered audio processing, and performance work against large enemy counts. The launch note mentions a 60 percent particle reduction as part of that pass. Post-launch plans, not shipped, list Assassin, Engineer, Barbarian, Warlock, a mercenary system, tower defense, a rune system, and transmutation and crafting. Twenty-four Steam languages carry interface, full audio, and subtitles. Vietnamese and Indonesian store pages keep the English title Shadow Dungeon; those two are not among the 24. Professional launch pages such as iXBT and GRYOnline restate official copy; they are not a second item database. A same-name 2D platformer at shadowdungeon. com is a different product and is not this Steam ARPG. The live keyword-farm wiki that reprints Steam paragraphs as /library/shadow-dungeon-* URLs is the competitor this handbook refuses to copy: one route per intent, screenshot-named trees, and no download-mirror page. Steam Cloud, Family Sharing, and Full controller support are the buyer flags. App 4423580 is the full client; 4563350 is the frozen demo. First Descent is the first-run case file from here. Screenshot 0 is the cavern crop. Screenshot 1 is desert. Screenshot 2 is the HUD. Screenshot 3 is sandy ruins. Screenshot 5 is a winged boss. Screenshot 16 is the temple giant. Steam header art stamps the four portraits. Watch the trailer after the lede; it does not autoplay.
Home stills stay inside the sealed home routes: cavern, desert, HUD, sandy ruins, winged boss, temple giant, and the four-portrait header. The trailer facade uses the cavern poster and youtube-nocookie. First Descent is the player-task entry in the first screen at 390px. Spec mosaic is 7 chapters, 160 maps, 4 classes, 12 trees. Ads sit after the lede, never under the hero crop. Steam store remains the live price page. Capture date for the review aggregate is 27 August 2026. OO Cat spent about nine years as a solo developer on this first game, a fact from the 0. 4. 0 note, not a marketing slogan invented here.
